GAIAM 

Gaiam is Gaia Tone Art gong form that embodies and releases the quality of the masculine in harmony with the great generating mothering principle. A form where the center sounds contained within the honoured encircling peripheral sound.

Gilding is the process by which other metals such as gold, silver and palladium are permanently added to the surface of the gong. Gilding, as well as enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the gong, has the advantage of bringing the qualities of other metals to a powerful healing tool.

The sound of this gong, allows for more control and distance between the the bass frequencies and the crush sounds when used with Padded mallets. Its unique, asymmetric form "character", allows for a wide spectrum of expression when played with friction mallets (flumies), making this a powerful and effective tool in the hands of an experienced sound practitioner. Carbon Steel has a more gentle energy than the stainless steel, and when the metal disc is fully resonating, it tends to PURR. Stainless Steel tends to have more sound energy than the carbon steel making it an ideal sound tool where more volume is required.
